New Orleans: Cemetery

During a late summer visit to a see an old college buddy and his family, I wandered around to capture some shots.  I've been to New Orleans quite a few times but never took the time to use my camera that much.  There's a cemetery a few blocks from there place and below are a couple images from that walk.

St Charles: Charlestown Mall

I've been traveling quite a bit for work and it takes me to some interesting and unique places... not always the most popular destinations.  This trip took me to St Charles and a rather bleak mall called the Charlestown Mall.  Although an empty retail destination, the food court had a really nice carousel.  Many of the lamps were burnt out but it was still a beautiful piece of equipment.  Here are some of the shots from my visit.

Cleveland: Downtown

Back in February of 2013 I took a trip to Cleveland for work.  Although it was bitterly cold, I ventured out to check out some of the sites, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Lake Erie waterfront.  Below are a few highlights from my visit.

Philadelphia: Race Street Pier

While by brother was in town visiting, I decided to take it out to the Race Street Pier.  I had never been out there to check it out since it had been completely renovated.  Plus, I thought it was a great vantage point to check out the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the Camden Waterfront and Penn's Landing.  Although it was bitterly cold, it was a nice visit.

New York City: Sights of the City

While on an overnight trip to NYC, I wandered around with the camera for a bit to snap a few shots.  I wasn't really focusing on anything particular or really in the mood to run around with a camera, so these shots aren't the most inspired.  Still, I thought I would share since I'm way behind in posting.

Atlantic City: CRDA Parking Garage

One of my many lighting design projects was completed just down the road in Atlantic City.  Driving into the city, it is the first building that greets visitors.  Because of its presence among the many casinos in the city skyline, the Casino ReDevelopment Authority wanted to be sure the facade of the building would fit the character of the city.  We added white LED grazing onto metal panels along with color-changing accent lighting.

State College: Penn State University

Another long overdue post... I just haven't been out and about taking photos lately and I'm trying not to duplicate any older shoots.  Here are a few shots from my visit to my alma mater last spring.  I was up to participate in a thesis jury for my college department.  I took a few hours before leaving town to walk around campus.
